Job Description

As a Software Developer II at CertiPath, Inc. you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of dedicated professionals to create and deploy cutting-edge solutions for Business and Government alike.

You will be responsible for interpreting and writing software requirements/design specifications to develop, debug, test, and maintain software and applications to be deployed on multiple platforms (e.g., Desktop (Microsoft, certain Linux distributions) and Mobile).

You may also be required to assist with: gathering requirements, developing test cases, preparing support documentation, and support of development environments, software, and applications as necessary.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • Must possess experience using collaborative source code repository systems such as git, GitHub, or Mercurial
  • Must possess at least 4 or more years combined experience using Java, C/C++, C#, .NET and/or Python
  • Must demonstrate excellent written communications skills
  • Must possess experience developing applications using PC/SC, WinScard, and/or MuscleCard/PCSC-Lite on PCs, Linux, and either Android or iOS
  • Must possess significant experience with ASN.1 encoding and decoding using BER and DER
  • Must have significant experience working with PIV data model (with SP 800-73-4 most desirable)
  • Must have solid understanding of the working of the PIV applet on smart card, mobile, or removable devices
  • Must have a complete understanding of PKI and authentication methods
  • Must have experience developing applications that leverage cryptography for digital signing and verification as well as privacy
  • Must have experience with Agile methodologies
  • Should be comfortable working in both Windows and *nix development environments
  • Should understand Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS packaging tools
  • Should have good understanding of the Federal PKI
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline.

  • Experience developing security focused software, developing in Microsoft environments, and working with x.509 Digital Certificates is a key differentiator

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at CertiPath, Inc. you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of dedicated professionals to create and deploy cutting-edge solutions for Business and Government alike.

You will be responsible for testing software and performing complex analysis to ensure that software products meet design specifications and are within total quality management limits and standards. You will develop new or refine existing processes related to quality control and project failure identification and designs standards verification. You will communicate with software developers and technical support specialists on software issues. You will provide valuable input into product usability, workflow, and feature design from the end user's perspective. You will be required to test features during development and provide rapid feedback during development.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

  • 7 years total experience, 4 years of which must be QA testing experience within a software development environment.
  • 3 years of experience using Selenium.
  • Performs full-lifecycle (i.e., Concept to Deployment) Quality Assurance (QA) analyses to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical constraints.
  • Perform requirements analysis, tracing, and planning.
  • Test case development, execution, trouble-shooting, data analysis, and defect results reporting.
  • Defines, creates and manipulates test data within databases.
  • Performs QA analysis of system and software development process, requirements, formal verification and qualification, and systems integration.
  • Define, design and document the organization’s quality process and program for delivery of complex systems. Advocate productivity improvements for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Solid experience in unit testing, functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing, GUI testing, mobile device testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and takes pride in solving challenging problems.
  • Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changing requirements.
  • Ability to work both under limited supervision and in a team environment.
